The YBLC Career Access Manager will develop relationships with and determine hiring needs of employers and promote members and alumni of YouthBuild Lake County as a viable talent pipeline for in-demand industries in Lake County. The Career Access Manager works closely with the Program Director to ensure members are adequately prepared for entry-level job opportunities in Lake County’s in-demand industries and to achieve placement and retention performance measures. As the Career Access Manager, you will assist members and alumni in determining their career goals, prepare for post-secondary workforce pathways, identify and follow-up on career opportunities; and work closely with the entire staff to build the young adults’ leadership and employability skills. You should have a desire to assist youth with extreme barriers to success in obtaining life and career preparation skills necessary to become more independent, self-sufficient and engaged in their future success.

YBLC is seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or graduate degree
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to think independently and to meaningfully collaborate with teams
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, both verbally and in writing
  • Exceptional organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in academic, professional, or extracurricular settings
