Wellness Program

As a YBLC student, you’ll learn skills that will make you look in the mirror and smile proudly — maybe like you never have before. But ask any student who’s benefitted from our programs, it’s not easy…and it’s not supposed to be. To help you succeed and achieve your goals, we offer the additional support that you may need.

What do I learn?

Through a partnership with Rosalind Franklin University, we developed a Wellness Program in 2006 that offers psychological assessments, and individual and group therapeutic services. Based on your needs, you’ll participate in parenting classes, anger management, leadership development, life skills and individual counseling sessions.

As a student, you’ll undergo random drug testing, as well as participate in an eight-week course developed in partnership with NICASA to foster positive decision-making skills. High-risk behavior — such as drinking, illegal drug use, family violence and inappropriate sexual activity — are confronted in these sessions.
