Fee-for-Service Program

Our Fee-for-Service Program, also known as YouthBuild Lake County Services, is a separate program operated under the umbrella of YBLC. Created in spring 2010, it currently operates by bidding on construction jobs for other nonprofit entities and affordable housing agencies.

Jobs range from vacant-unit turnaround to new construction, and must conform to our mission for youth and affordable housing. We’ve completed several projects for both the Lake County Housing Authority and Lake County Residential Development Corporation.

We use these projects to provide on-the-job-training for graduates of our programs. This gives trainees marketable skills that make them more attractive hires for private contractors.

If you have a project that serves youth and/or affordable housing needs, please contact Terry Lenz at info@youthbuildlakecounty.org.
